Manohar Quits Congress, Joins Jana Sena
Tenali, Oct.11 (Maxim News): Congress leader and former Speaker Nadendla Manohar today tendered his resignation from primary membership of Congress to join Tollywood hero Pawan Kalyan’s Jana Sena party.
According to informed sources, Manohar and Pawan Kalyan were reaching Tirumala on Thursday night. Both will have darshan of Srivaru on Friday morning. Later, Manohar will announce his joining the Jana Sena party. Political pundits feel that Manohar’s decision will be a big shock to the Congress party in Andhra Pradesh.
According to Jana Sena leaders, Manohar’s joining will boost the morale of the party cadre as no important leader from any political party joined Jana Sena yet. Manohar, who worked as Speaker of united AP State Assembly Speaker under then Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy. Manohar didn’t leave the Congress though it was routed in 2014 elections and Kiran Kumar Reddy left the party and floated Samaikyandhra Party.
Manohar, son of former chief minister Nadendla Bhaskara Rao, was earlier rumored to be contesting polls in Telangana from Congress. But Manohar preferred to join Jana Sena as both Pawan Kalyan and Manohar have same political interests and decided to walk together. (Maxim News)
