MANUU organizes training under PMKVY 3.0 Scheme

Hyderabad, February 08: “Through skill training a person can improve overall performance in any identified area and in doing so can enhance the overall quality of life.” said Prof. Syed Ainul Hasan, Vice Chancellor, Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) in a certificate distribution ceremony held yesterday by MANUU Skill Hub upon successful completion of skill training for Field Technician Air Conditioner under PMKVY 3.0 scheme.

MANUU ITI Hyderabad is registered as Skill Hub under Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) 3.0. The Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship have envisioned Skill Training Hubs that would offer competency-based Vocational Training for school dropouts and the out-of-school young population. This initiative is being implemented through National Skill Development Corporation under the Central Component of PMKVY 3.0.

Prof. Ishtiaque Ahmed, Registrar was also present. Prof. Abdul Wahid, Dean School of Technology delivered a welcome address. Dr. Arshia Azam, Nodal Officer, Skill Hub & Principal, MANUU ITI Hyderabad presented a report and also proposed a vote of thanks.

The staff of the Vocational Training Centre/ITI & participants of the Skill hub were also present.

Earlier, Prof. Ainul Hasan also distributed certificates to students of Vista School in a ceremony held separately yesterday morning in the CPDUMT auditorium. As part of the collaboration, 216 students of 9th and 10th classes were trained at MANUU ITI in Electrician, Electronic Mechanic, Refrigeration & AC, Draughtsman Civil, and Plumbing trades. MANUU and Vista School have come together to provide skill-based education in consonance with NEP 2020.

Prof. Hasan in his presidential remarks said that NEP 2020 emphasizes the development of the creative potential of each individual. It depends on the student’s ability to use talent and develop. A person should come out with artistic flavor to bring out talent.

Prof. Ishtiaque Ahmed, Prof. Abdul Wahid, Ms. Shanthi Priya, and Principal Vista school were also present. Dr. Arshia Azam delivered a welcome address and Mr. Mohammed Amer, an Instructor of Electronic mechanics proposed the vote of thanks.
