MANUU Teachers present paper at Oxford Conference
Hyderabad: Maulana Azad National Urdu University’s 3 Faculty Members presented papers during the prestigious United Kingdom Forum for International Education and Training (UKFIET) 2023 Conference hosted at the University of Oxford in the United Kingdom. The event being held from 12 to 14 September 2023, on the topic “Education for Social and Environmental Justice: diversity, sustainability, responsibility” brought together leading minds in the field of international and comparative education.
Dr. Mohammed Yousuf Khan, Principal, Polytechnic, Hyderabad, Prof. Mohammed Abdul Sami Siddiqui, Director, Centre Professional Development of Urdu Medium Teachers and Mr. Syed Mujahid Pasha, Assistant Professor, Polytechnic presented their papers dealing with teachers training and issues related to students dropout.
Prof. Syed Ainul Hasan, Vice-Chancellor of MANUU, Congratulated the faculty members’ and said, “We are immensely proud of our teachers who have showcased their expertise and research on international platform. MANUU remains dedicated to advancing educational discourse and making valuable contributions to the field of education.” he added.
The participation of MANUU faculty members at UKFIET 2023 reflects the university’s commitment in fostering academic excellence and promoting Urdu Language and education on the Global Stage.
Hindi Week inaugurated at MANUU
Hindi Cell is observing Hindi Week from September 12 to 18, 2023 in the run up to Hindi Diwas.
The celebrations of “Hindi Week” was inaugurated yesterday by organising Hindi workshop on “Administrative Matters: Noting and Drafting”. Dr. Seema Verma, Assistant Director, Official Language Department, Ministry of Home Affairs, Hindi Education Scheme and Central Hindi Training Sub-Institute, Secunderabad was invited as the speaker.
Prof. Syed Najmul Hasan, Chairperson, University’s Official Language Implementation Committee highlighted the importance of Hindi language and its usage in office work.
Dr. Shagufta Parveen, Hindi Officer & Convenor wished Happy Hindi week to all.
Prof. Karan Singh Utwal, Prof. Viquarunnisa and Dr. Ira Khan and others participated in the workshop.
International Workshop on ADAP held at MANUU
The Department of Physics and the Department of Mathematics, Maulana Azad National Urdu University organised a four day International Workshop Astronomy Data Analysis
with Python (ADAP23) from 5-8 September 2023. It was funded by the Inter-University Centre for Astronomy and Astrophysics (IUCAA), Pune. The workshop was designed for post graduate students and early researchers to mentor them in coding in Python specifically to do data analysis projects based on astronomy archival data.
The inaugural program was held on 5 September 2023 at the Saiyid Hamid
Library Auditorium. Prof Syed Ainul Hasan, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, MANUU was the Chief Guest and presided over the inaugural program.
The meeting was conducted in hybrid mode and all the talks were live streamed and are available online. There were 50 offline participants from various parts of the country like Delhi, Kerala, Shillong, West Bengal, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Tamil Nadu, etc and 250 participants from all over the world registered for the workshop. Talks and handson sessions were held by speakers from National Center of Radio Astrophysics, Pune,
IUCAA, Pune, Indian Institute of Astrophysics, Bangalore, St Stefan’s College, New Delhi, Ohio State University, USA and MANUU, Hyderabad.
The keynote address was delivered by Dr. Margarita Safonova, Indian Institute of Astrophysics, Bangalore on Space Astronomy’. A public lecture was also held on 6 September by Dr Maqbool Ahmed on
Challenges of Landing on the Moon’. There were around 16 talks of one hour each with hands-on sessions on Python coding for astronomy data.
The valedictory function held on 8th September was presided by the Registrar, Prof Ishtiaq Ahmed. Dr Priya Hasan, Department of Physics was the Convenor and Prof S N Hasan, Department of Mathematics was co-Convenor of the workshop.
