MANUU to organize Women’s “Mushaira” to mark silver jubilee year

Women’s Mushaira | The Department of Women Education (DWE), Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) is organizing an online women’s poetry (Mushaira) session on March 14 3:30 pm as part of University’s 25th anniversary celebrations.

According to Dr. Ameena Tahseen, Head, DWE & the coordinator programme, the poetry session will be presided over by Prof. Syed Ainul Hasan, Vice-Chancellor, MANUU. Prof. Hasan himself is a well known poet. Prof. Ashraf Rafi, Former Head, Department of Urdu, Osmania University will be the chief guest whereas eminent poetess Tasneem Jauhar will be the guest of honour.

The women poetess – Prof. Rafia Shabnam Abidi (Mumbai), Ms. Azra Naqvi (Delhi), Dr. Shabnam Ishayee (Srinagar, Kashmir), Prof. Shahnaz Nabi (Kolkata), Dr. Nusrat Mehdi (Bhopal) and Dr. Rubina Shabnam (Punjab), Dr. Shaista Yousuf (Bangalore) and Dr. Kahkashan Tabassum (Bihar)will participate.
