Despite continuous efforts by the government and police to control drug circulation, such incidents continue to surface in parts of the city. Police officials stated that routine checks and focused surveillance are underway across Hyderabad. However, drug networks continue to exploit vulnerable sections, including minors, to move contraband across states.

According to the police, the detained minor was working as a drug transporter for Mumbai-based drug syndicates. Investigators revealed that the syndicate used a financially weak boy to run the drug supply chain. Meanwhile, police teams acted on specific intelligence and intercepted the minor while he was transporting the ganja from Odisha to Hyderabad. The operation resulted in the seizure of 10 kilograms of marijuana before it could be distributed locally.

Later, the police handed over the minor to the SR Nagar police station for further legal action. Officials confirmed that a case has been registered under the NDPS Act. They also stated that legal procedures are being followed strictly as per the law, considering the age of the accused. Meanwhile, authorities are continuing to gather more details about the supply route and the network involved.

The Eagle Team has also launched a manhunt for the absconding Mumbai drug suppliers linked to the case. Police believe the syndicate operates across multiple states and relies on carriers to avoid direct exposure. Therefore, efforts are now focused on identifying and arresting the main operators behind the racket.

Officials reiterated that such joint operations will continue across Hyderabad. They stressed that strict action will be taken against those involved in drug trafficking. At the same time, police urged parents and guardians to stay alert, as minors are increasingly being targeted by drug networks. The case serves as another reminder of the need for sustained vigilance and coordinated enforcement to tackle the drug problem in the city.
