Massive corruption took place in kaleswaram lift irrigation project

Hyderabad, Oct.21 (NSS): The founder president of YSRTP YS Sharmila today alleged that massive amount of corruption took place in the construction of Kaleswaram lift Irrigation project in Telangana state . She also alleged that although the project cost went up , there was no increase in the ayacutt of the project.

She alleged that CM KCR was behind the massive corruption in the construction of the irrigation project and added that there was corruption in every irrigation project of the state while noting that she has submitted all the evidences related to the corruption in the project construction to the comptroller and auditor general of India . Sharmila said that the CAG had promised her that it would order an independent inquiry by roping in the services of the experts from IITs.

Speaking further, Sharmila also targeted Megha construction company and alleged that all the projects taken up by the firm was full of corruption. She said that she had already lodged a complaint over the corruption in the kaleswaram irrigation project to CBI while noting that the corruption that took place in the construction of the kaleswaram project was the biggest corruption scandal in the entire country.

Talking about Munugodu assembly constituency by-elections, Sharmila called upon the voters of the constituency to boycott the by-elections. She mocked that the by-elections were not the elections which were necessitated but the by-elections, which were thrust upon the people of Munugodu by killing democracy. Sharmila also responded on the CBI inquiry into the murder case of her uncle YS Vivekananda Reddy. She opined that the Supreme Court of India should transfer the case to a different state . Making it clear that all facts will come out in the CBI inquiry , she said that the accused the harshest punishment . (NSS)
