Earthquakes have become frequent across several countries recently. In the Coral Sea region, a major earthquake registered a magnitude of 6.0 on the Richter scale. The event shook Vanuatu in the Pacific Ocean, with the National Center for Seismology (NCS) confirming that the quake’s epicenter was near Vanuatu, at a depth of 10 kilometers. Officials described the earthquake as dangerous, given its magnitude and impact on local residents.

Meanwhile, Japan also felt the force of nature when a 5.9 magnitude earthquake rattled the eastern Hokkaido region in northern Japan. In India, the NCS reported that two states experienced earthquakes on Sunday morning. Karnataka was hit first, at 3:47 am, with a magnitude of 3.1. Later, Ladakh recorded a magnitude of 3.6 at 7:30 am. Despite the early hour and the initial panic among residents, both regions reported no damage or casualties. Authorities remain vigilant but confirmed that no significant harm occurred.

Experts note that while these earthquakes caused fear and disrupted daily life, the lack of damage is a relief for the affected countries. Awareness and preparedness have helped residents respond swiftly to tremors, minimizing risks. As seismic activity continues to be monitored by the NCS and other agencies, people are urged to stay alert for future events.
