Massive Flood Of 4.94 Lakh Cusecs Reaching Nagarjuna Sagar 

Hyderabad, Aug 3 (Maxim News): Nagarjuna Sagar reservoir continues to be heavily flooded.  At p[resent the inflow to the dam is 4.94 lakh cusecs. At present the outflow is 27,238 cusecs.

While the full water level of the reservoir is 590 feet, it is currently 563.60 feet. The water storage capacity of the dam is 312.50 tons. The current water storage is 240.83 tmc. Sagar is releasing 6,324 cusecs to the right canal, 1,418 cusecs to the left canal, and another 1800 cusecs to LLBC (ARMP). On the other hand, the flood flow continues even to Jurala Priyadarshini Dam.

A flood of 2.90 lakh cusecs is coming to the reservoir. At present, 2,66,192 flood water is being released from the reservoir downstream. 2,45,750 cusecs are being released from the spillway and 17,782 cusecs from the powerhouse. The water level of the reservoir is 7,991 timcs and the current storage is 4,284 timcs. (Maxim News)
