Warangal/Hyderabad, April 24 (Maxim News): Multizone-1 IG Chandrasekhar Reddy has called on Maoists to leave the forests and join the mainstream of life.

14 Naxals surrendered before the police in the presence of IG Chandrasekhar Reddy at the hanamkonda Police Commissionerate on thursday (April 24). The surrendered naxalites were given rewards by the IG.

Speaking on the occasion, he said that most of the Maoists who have surrendered are from Chhattisgarh. They assured that they will support the surrendered Maoists in every way.

They said that two of the surrendered Maoists were members of the AOB committee. They said that most of the surrendered Maoists were below the age of 28.

They clarified that they had no connection with the combine operation in Karregutta. They clarified that the Chhattisgarh security forces had carried out the operation. (Maxim News)
