MA&UD Minister KT Rama Rao visits night shelter at Golnaka

Hyderabad: The MA&UD Minister KT Rama Rao on Wednesday went on a surprise inspection of the night shelter at Golnaka on Wednesday.

Accompanied by senior officials from the revenue wing and the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC), the Minister later interacted with the local residents at Golnaka and urged them to stay home in view of the lock down to fight the coronavirus pandemic.

He asked them to maintain sanitation at their homes and colonies and advised them on the importance of washing hands to keep the coronavirus risk away.

Earlier, Rao held a review meeting with officials at the GHMC head office and directed them to provide night shelters for the homeless and also make arrangements for their meals.
