May Day: Telangana CM KCR Greets People
In a statement, the Chief Minister said as farmers, labourers and practitioners of traditional occupations, the working class has become partners in the development of the country and the State. He pointed out that the Telangana government was working tirelessly for the welfare and development of these professionals observing the true spirit of May Day and was implementing ideal labour and agrarian policies.
Hyderabad, May 1st: Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao on Saturday conveyed his May Day greetings to the working class and farmers in the State on the occasion of World Labour Day. He said development was possible only due to the sweat shed by working class and the progress of mankind continues to depend upon the hard working labourers. In addition to the workers working in various industries, a large population in India is dependent on agriculture for livelihood, he reminded.

He explained that the schemes being implemented for the caste-based occupations are contributing to their socio-economic development, strengthening the rural economy and standing as an ideal for the country. He said the industrial policy implemented by the Telangana government towards the development of the manufacturing and service sectors as well as the welfare of the workers, was contributing to the creation of wealth in Telangana apart from creating jobs for millions of unemployed.
