MBBS Counselling: Unreserved Seats First: Doctors

Hyderabad: Apprehensions are being raised over MBBS counselling process with BC, SC, ST sections alleging likely injustice to them. Initially, open competition seats have to be filled and later reserved category seats.

However, they say that officials are planning to fill reserved seats initially and later unreserved seats.

Meanwhile, some doctor unions demanded that counselling should be done as per AIIMS rules.

According to AIIMS, the seats to be filled by open (unreserved) competition would be filled up first, wherein the candidates would be called for counselling based on merit alone irrespective of whether they belong to UR, SC, ST or OBC.
