Medak Shocker! Man Commits Rape and Murder Just Days Before Life Sentence
Medak/Hyderabad, Oct 15 (Maxim News): In a shocking incident, a habitual offender committed another rape and murder in Medak district even after knowing that he would soon be sentenced to life imprisonment in an earlier case.
According to police reports, Fakir Nayak, a resident of Sewalal Thanda in Varni mandal of Nizamabad district, was residing in Ambojiguda, Sangareddy district. He already faced multiple criminal cases, including a previous rape and murder in Medak. The trial for that case concluded recently, and the court reserved its verdict on October 13, with a life sentence almost certain.
Two days before his expected sentencing, on October 10, Fakir targeted a tribal woman from Kolparam mandal who was waiting for daily wage work at a camp in Medak. Posing as someone offering employment, he took her by bus to Edupayala Kaman. There, he lured her into a secluded area, where he brutally assaulted and raped her. When the woman resisted, he tied her to a tree, beat her severely with a stick and stones, and left her to die.
The following morning, locals found the woman lying unconscious and alerted the police. She was rushed to a hospital but succumbed to her injuries during treatment.
Police, upon investigation, reviewed nearby CCTV footage and identified Fakir Nayak near a wine shop close to the Medak bus stand. He was detained and, during questioning, confessed to the crime, admitting that he acted knowing he would soon be imprisoned for life in his previous case.
Police have registered a case of rape and murder and are completing further legal formalities. (Maxim News)
