Mediation better solution to address issues, Courts should to be last alternative: CJI, NV Ramana
Hyderabad, Dec.4 (Maxim News): Chief Justice of India (CJI), NV Ramana today emphasized the need for speedy probe to resolve the cases in the courts. The CJI said that the courts have to be the last step and alternative for the people to find a solution. NV Ramana attended a seminar of International Arbitration and Mediation centre (IAMC) at HICC Novotal here with Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao.
NV Ramana has praised the Chief Minister and officials for their initiative and support for IAMC which will be a game changer ahead to address many issues.
He said that women can find solutions to their disputes through IAMC in Hyderabad which is the best place to resolve the cases through mediation. NV Ramana said that the people can find solutions to their cases through mediation which was also there in Mahabharata. Since people lose time and money for a long time in the courts, mediation will be the solution, the CJI said. As the courts should become the last alternative, people can solve their issues in a cordial atmosphere by continuous consultations.
Law Minister A Indrakaran Reddy, IT and Industries Minister KT Rama Rao, and Telangana High Court Chief Justice Satish Chandra Sharma, along with judges of Supreme Court of India as well as High Courts of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, legal luminaries and others participated in the inaugural session.
