Medical Colleges In All 33 Districts Will Provide Education To Poor Students: Harish Rao
Hyderabad, Dec 31 (Maxim News): Minister for Medical, Health and Family Welfare and Finance, T. Harish Rao announced that the government medical colleges will be opened in all 33 districts of the state that will provide medical education to poor students. He said that the State is top in the MBBS seats and 2nd in PG seats in the country,
Participated in the program organized at the Shilpkala Vedika, the Minister handed over the appointment orders to the newly selected 929 doctors and added that the main focus of the government is to provide medical facilities to all in the state, he said that the new medical appoints are being made as announced by the Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao.
The Minister informed that it is a matter of pride that Telangana is in the 3rd position with the provision of government healthcare, he called on the doctors to work hard to reduce infant mortality. He stressed the need of extending the services of Aarogyasri in Primary Health Centers. He said that although money can buy anything, it cannot buy lives and only doctors have the power to save such lives. He said that the recruitment process of new doctors has been completed transparently. He said that all the newly appointed doctors have been given reservations in PG seats. He suggested to the doctors that they should work in the given posting and serve the people and not try for transfers. (Maxim News)
