Mega Budget Of Rs. 2.90 Lakhs Cr Does Not Have New Allocations: Bhatti

Hyderabad, Feb 6 (Maxim News): Reacting to the budget-2023-24 presented by Finance Minister Harish Rao stating that for the mega-budget of Rs. 2.90 lakh crores, there are no new allocations nor there is the allocation for the schemes that was promised earlier and term the budget as only juggling figures and magical words.

He has reminded that the Congress party many times in the past has brought to the notice of the government that they are allocating with increased figures in the budget to deceive the people, and now it has been proved, that they were right. He alleged that the government will fully increase the figures in the budget without giving a realistic budget.

He pointed out that there is no mention in the budget for 2023-24 of a double-bedroom scheme nor about the house sites. The farmers are worried on the BRS government weather it will continue a free power supply for 24 hours to agriculture, presently it is not even providing power at least for 5 hours. He said that it is sad that the farmers are protesting against the power cuts in many districts of the state.

The BCs, which constitute more than 52 percent of the population have been allocated only Rs. 6,229 crores, this shows how small-minded this government is. The state government has been diverting SC and ST sub-plan funds for the past 8 years, this time also did the same. It is unfortunate that the rulers who said that they will implement the old pension system for the employees did not mention it in this budget.

Due to the non-implementation of loan waivers by the State government, around 16 lakh farmers across the state have become defaulters in banks. The promise to Tribals is not visible in this budget, There is no word in the budget about the unemployment benefits to be given to the unemployed, ignoring the BC Action Plan.

Since, 2014 to 2022-23, the revenue on liquor is increasing, Telangana has brought on the slogans of water, funds, and employment, but the budget presented does not match the slogans, he pointed out. (Maxim News)
