MIM Goons Attack Sameer Waliullah’s Son During Praja Palana Program

Hyderabad, January 7: Led by MIM Malakpet Corporator Mohammed Shafi, a group of MIM goons attacked Hyderabad DCC President Sameer Waliullah and his teenage son Alishba in the Malakpet area on Saturday.

According to the complaint lodged with the Chaderghat Police, Alishba said he had accompanied his father to a Praja Palana camp in Ambedkar Community Hall in the Malakpet area on Saturday at around 2.30 pm. While they were returning from home, MIM Corporators Mohammed Shafi and his men Omer and others stopped them, started abusing them in vulgar language and beat them with their hands.

Later, Sameer Waliullah, accompanied by other Congress leaders lodged a complaint at the Chaderghat Police Station demanding stern action against the attackers. Based on the complaint, the Chaderghat Police registered a case under Sections 341,506,323,r/w 34 IPC and others and began the investigation.

Speaking to media persons later, Sameer Waliullah strongly condemned the attack and said that the MIM cannot continue to use violence as a tool to intimidate their political opponents. He said the Congress Government would not tolerate such rowdyism and take action against such anti-social elements.
