Minister Damodar: Medical Services to Continue During Rains
Minister Damodar | Hyderabad, Aug 13 (Maxim News): Minister for Medical and Health, Damodara Rajanarasimha has advised the health department officials and staff to be alert as heavy rains are forecast for Telangana state for three days from today (Wednesday).
The Minister held a teleconference with senior health department officials on Wednesday morning. Hospital superintendents, RMOs, medical officers, doctors and staff should definitely stay in hospitals for these three days. Minister Damodara Rajanarasimha directed that arrangements should be made accordingly.
The Minister ordered the senior officials to cancel all holidays. He advised that immediate medical services should be provided to patients and pregnant women who come in emergency situations and steps should be taken to ensure that they do not face any difficulties.
He directed that pregnant women who are close to the estimated delivery date should be shifted to the birth waiting rooms in hospitals and services should be provided. Minister Damodar Rajanarsimha directed that all ambulances and 102 vehicles should be kept ready and drivers and EMTs should be kept available 24 hours a day to immediately go to any emergency and transport the patients.
