Minister Errabelli Dayakar Rao Gets Corona Jab
Minister for Panchayat Raj and Rural Development Errabelli Dayakar Rao urged the people to visit government hospitals to get the Covid-19 shot
Warangal Urban: Panchayat Raj Minister Errabelli Dayakar Rao on Tuesday took the corona jab and appealed to the people to take corona vaccine at government hospitals to protect themselves. He also asserted that there was no second wave of Covid-19 in State.
Speaking after taking the first dose of the vaccine at the State-run Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Hospital (MGMH) here, Dayakar Rao said: “There is no need for people to panic. The second surge has not had any impact in Telangana compared to the first wave. However, people should be vigilant, adhere to physical distancing and prescribed norms to protect themselves from the pandemic. Wear masks always when you visit public places.”
Pointing out that Health Minister Eatala Rajender also took the Covid jab at government hospital in Huzurabad on Monday, Rao urged the people to visit government hospitals to get the Covid-19 shot.
“We are giving the vaccine jabs to people over 60 years and also persons with comorbitiies. People can also register their names for the vaccine shot on the “http://cowin.gov.in”cowin.gov.in’,” Rao said adding that the vaccine was being adminitered in 1,200 centers across the state including 136 in erstwhile Warangal district and 49 centres in Warangal Urban district.
Dayakar Rao’s wife and Errabelli Charitable Trust chairperson Usha Dayakar Rao and their family members also took the vaccine. Mayor Gunda Prakash Rao was also vaccinated at the hospital. Warangal East MLA N Narender, DMHO Dr K Lalitha Devi, MGMH Superintendent Dr K Nagarjuna Reddy and others were present.
