Minister KTR Inagurates Kaithlapur RoB

Hyderabad, June 21 (Maxim News): IT Minister KT Rama Rao inaugurated the Kaithlapur Road over Bridge (RoB), Kukatpally, here on Tuesday.

The four-lane, two way RoB bridge was constructed at a cost of Rs 83 crore under the Strategic Road Development Programme (SRDP) and the 675 metre long Road over Bridge would help free flow of traffic from Kukatpally to Hi-tech City.

The new facility will reduce the travel distance by 3.5 km for commuters between Hi-tech City and JNTU Kukatpally.

Speaking on the occasion, Minister KT Rama Rao said that under the first phase of SRDP, a total of 47 works were taken up with an estimated cost of Rs.8052 crore and 30 fly-overs were already completed and the works of remaining 17 fly-overs were at various stages.

He promised that all pending projects taken up under the first phase will be completed as early as possible and the second phase of SRDP works with an estimated cost of Rs.3,117 crore will be commenced from the next year onwards.

Minister Ch Mallareddy, MLAs Madhavaram Krishna Rao and KP Vivekanand, MLCs Shambipur Raju, Naveen Kumar and Surabhi Vani Devi, Mayor Gadwal Vijaya Laxmi, Deputy Mayor Srilatha Reddy and officials from GHMC were present. (Maxim News)
