Minister Tenders Apology On Lukewarm Response Of RTC Officials
Hyderabad, March 12 (Maxim News): State transport minister Puvvada Ajay Kumar tendered apology to members of Telangana state Legislative council on issue of lukewarm or no response from officials of TSRTC to the calls made by the public representatives on various issues pertaining to the corporation. He agreed that it was a mistake that the officials of the corporation did not answer the phone calls made by the public representatives. He told the members that he would take steps to prevent such instances in future.
The minister made these remarks while replying to the questions raised by the members in the council house. He said that the corporation was expecting an income of Rs. 300 crore per annum from its parcel service in the state. He said that they would keep ready 100 cargo buses by the end of this month. Commenting on the issue of the financial status of the corporation, he said that the corporation was earning a profit of Rs. 1.5 crore per day and added that as against the usual income of Rs. 11 crore in the past the corporation was earning an income of Rs. 12.5 crore per day. The minister said that they were paying the salaries of the employees from the profits made by the corporation. Referring to the payment of the salaries of the corporation employees for the strike period, he said that the JAC leaders were now performing palabhishekam to the portrait of CM KCR.
He said that banks had come forward to give Rs. 600 crore loan for the payment of the CCS and PF arrears of the employees. Kumar said that they would complete the construction of a new bus stand at Khammam by the end of this month. Meanwhile the chairman of the legislative council Gutta Sukhender Reddy asked the transport minister to write letters to all the MLCs for their constituency development funds.(Maxim News)
