Misconceptions About Classification Should Be Cleared: MLA Vivek

Hyderabad, Mar 18 (Maxim News): Chennur MLA Vivek Venkataswamy wants the misconceptions between Malas and Madigas to be removed from the SC classification.

Speaking during the debate on the SC bill in the assembly, Vivek said that false propaganda was spread about Malas during the classification period. He criticized the fake propaganda against the beneficiaries of government schemes. He said that fake propaganda was spread and that jobs and schemes were given only to Malas.  Vivek said that if Madigas get more than 65 thousand jobs, Malas get 48 thousand jobs. Vivek said that Madigas have been given a larger share of SC corporation funds.

MLA Vivek demanded that 18 percent be allocated to SCs in the budget. MLA Vivek said that Indira Gandhi did a lot for SCs. He said that assigned lands were distributed to SCs. Vivek said that if the committee reports on classification, they will study it and give suggestions. He said that 18 percent reservation will be given to SCs according to the caste census.

MLA Vivek said that Ambedkar had said that there was a danger of division among SCs. He said that reservations for SCs have increased in Haryana and Punjab. He demanded that a corpus fund of Rs. 100 crore be given to SC industrialists. He wanted SCs to be given priority in the allocation of contracts. MLA Vivek demanded that 18 percent be given in nominated posts. (Maxim News)
