MLA Quota MLC Elections Notification for Telugu States Today
Hyderabad: The Election Commission has issued a notification today for the upcoming MLC elections under the MLA quota in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. A total of 10 MLC seats—7 in Andhra Pradesh and 3 in Telangana—are set to fall vacant on the 29th of this month.
According to the election schedule, the nomination process will be open until the 10th of this month. The scrutiny of nominations is scheduled for the 11th, while candidates will have the chance to withdraw their nominations by the 13th.
Polling for these MLC seats will take place on the 20th of this month. The voting will be conducted among the elected MLAs of the respective states. The counting of votes will be held on the same day, and the results are expected to be announced shortly thereafter.
These elections hold significant political importance as they will impact the composition of the Legislative Councils in both Telugu states. Political parties are expected to announce their candidates soon, and intense lobbying is already underway.
