MLC Jeevan Reddy Slams Govt

Hyderabad, June 9 (Maxim News): Congress party MLC T. Jeevan Reddy today hit out at the state government and alleged that the TRS led state government had failed in providing free Covid treatment to all the victims of the virus.

He alleged that the central government sponsored Ayushman Bharat scheme was not being implemented in the state even after entering into an agreement with the centre.

Speaking to media persons at Assembly media point, Reddy said that the lives of the poor people of the state were ravaged due to the spread of the virus. He criticised that the state government had not included the Covid treatment in the list of Aarogyasri scheme. He alleged that the state government was not taking the warnings over the onset of the third wave of the virus into consideration.

He alleged that the state government was not even following the orders of the high court of the state on regulating the fee being charged by the rival hospitals of the state for the treatment of the Covid virus. He demanded the state government to give a compensation of Rs. 50 lakh to all those people who have died due to the Covid virus. (Maxim News)
