Mumbai: The weather department has predicted moderate rains at isolated places in Mumbai and its surrounding areas on Tuesday morning.
Head of SID at the Climate Research and Services Pune, K. S. Hosalikar tweeted, “Moderate to intense spells of rains very likely to occur at isolated places in districts of Thane, Palghar, Raigad, Ratnagiri and Mumbai during the next three to four hours. Possibility of thunder and lightning accompanied by gusty winds in some areas.”
He further said the Mumbai radar of the last few hours indicates that there has been moderate to intense clouds over Mumbai, Thane, Palghar and surrounding places.
He further said that the travel in the morning could get affected due to rains.
Hosalikar also shared the weather conditions in Pune on Tuesday morning.
Meanwhile, the scientist urged citizens to follow the IMD up dates for weather warnings in Mumbai and surrounding places.
