Modi Wreaking Vengeance Against TDP: Kanakamedala

Hyderabad, Oct.12 (Maxim News): Launching a scathing attack on the BJP-led NDA government at the Centre, TDP MP Kanakamedala Ravindra Kumar today said his party forged an alliance with the BJP in 2014 elections thinking that the residual State would get help in taking up developmental programs.

Speaking to mediapersons here today, Kanakamedala said the TDP forged an electoral alliance with the BJP in 2014 elections only with an aim to develop the State, but nothing could be achieved. He also alleged that the BJP was resorting to political vengeance against the TDP leaders by using Constitutional institutions.

Condemning IT raids in Andhra Pradesh, the TDP Rajya Sabha member alleged that the Modi government was targeting only the ruling party leaders. He accused the BJP government of intimidating its political opponents by resorting to IT raids. He also said IT raids on various places of TDP Rajya Sabha member C M Ramesh was an example of Modi government’s vendetta against TDP. Earlier, IT personnel conducted raids against party’s former MLA B Mastan Rao and MLA Potuli Rama Rao.

Describing the IT raids against TDP leaders as politically motivated, Ravindra Kumar alleged that by conducting raids by IT and CBI, the Union government was trying to create fear in the party just before the elections. “The BJP will not retain power in 2019 elections”, Kumar said and warned that the party would approach courts to get justice if the BJP continues to take political revenges.

At a separate media conference at NTR trust bhavan, Telangana TDP president L Ramana also condemned the IT raids against his party leaders. He said, “Modi government wave” was declining in the Southern states. Modi in connivance with Telangana CM KCR was resorting to ED, IT and CBI raids. However, the TDP was not afraid of such arm-twisting tactics.

Stating that the people will teach a lesson to Modi and as well as KCR in 2019 elections, Ramana alleged that KCR government also failed to fulfil its election promises of 2014. (Maxim News)
