Moinabad Drugs Case: No Politics Involved, Says Goud

Hyderabad: Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee chief Mahesh Kumar Goud said there is no politics involved in the Moinabad Drugs Case. He stated that the EAGLE team carried out its duty during the operation and acted as part of efforts to control drug use.
Mahesh Kumar Goud also demanded that former minister KTR’s team respond to the developments in the Moinabad drugs case. According to him, the investigation carried out by the EAGLE team should not be viewed through a political lens.
Speaking about the matter, Goud said the police action was part of wider efforts to curb drug use. He said the authorities are conducting raids to support the goal of building a drug free society in Telangana.

Mahesh Kumar Goud said the EAGLE team has been actively conducting raids in connection with drug related activities. He stressed that the team is working with the objective of creating a drug free society.
He also raised concerns regarding allegations linked to former minister KTR. According to Goud, suspicions exist that KTR and some of his followers are taking drugs.
He said KTR should be ready to undergo drug tests if required. “The Eagle team is carrying out raids for a drug free society. There are suspicions that KTR and his followers are taking drugs. KTR should be prepared for drug tests if necessary. Let all MLAs and MLCs undergo tests during the assembly sessions. CMJ Revanth is working for a drug-free Telangana,” said Mahesh Kumar Goud.
Congress leaders protest at Gandhi Bhavan
Meanwhile, Congress activists and leaders staged a protest at Gandhi Bhavan in Hyderabad. The protest was led by Congress MLC Balmuri Venkat along with party workers and supporters.
During the demonstration, participants raised slogans calling for action against drug use. Protesters shouted slogans such as “No Drugs, Save Telangana” while expressing their concerns about the issue.
At the protest, Balmuri Venkat also made allegations against former minister KTR and former MLA Pilot Rohit Reddy. The protest highlighted the Congress party’s stance on addressing the problem of drugs in the state.
