Municipal Elections: Jagga Reddy Warns Congress Rebels Ahead polls
Hyderabad, Feb. 3 (Maxim News): Senior Telangana Congress leader and former MLA Jagga Reddy has issued a stern warning to party leaders ahead of the upcoming municipal elections in Sangareddy and Sadashivpet.
Jagga Reddy, known for his outspoken style, has taken direct charge of ensuring a Congress victory in both municipalities.
Therefore, he warned that any leader filing nominations against official party candidates would face immediate suspension. He conveyed this message clearly to party workers to prevent internal rebellion.
In Sangareddy Municipality, Congress has officially announced candidates and issued B forms. However, in eight wards, two aspirants each remain in the fray.
The party leadership has asked remaining contenders to withdraw nominations and support the official candidates.
Meanwhile, Jagga Reddy’s warning aims to ensure discipline, as Congress faces rebel issues in several parts of the state.
In contrast, Sangareddy constituency has seen tight control, with leaders instructed to avoid parallel candidatures.
Now, attention has shifted to the nomination withdrawal deadline. Party circles say the impact of Jagga Reddy’s warning will become clear once the deadline ends.
The outcome will decide whether Congress enters the civic polls united or faces internal resistance. (Maxim News)
