Speaking at a Vijaya Sankalpa Sammelan held at Classical Garden in Secunderabad, BJP leaders said the municipal elections Telangana would test the strength of both parties on the ground. The meeting was attended by Union Ministers G Kishan Reddy and Bandi Sanjay, BJP state president N Ramachandra Rao, MPs, MLAs, MLCs, district presidents, and key office bearers. Party leaders used the platform to outline strategies and motivate cadres ahead of the polls.

Union Minister Kishan Reddy said the government must establish a separate municipal corporation for Secunderabad. He said Secunderabad has long served as a central city in the twin cities region. Therefore, he questioned the proposal to name a new corporation after Malkajgiri. He warned Chief Minister Revanth Reddy to reconsider the move. Otherwise, he said he would fight along with the people.

Addressing party workers, Kishan Reddy said, “Don’t take any seat lightly in the municipal elections. We have captured the municipalities when the party had no MLAs or MPs in the state. This time, we have the strength of public representatives. People are ready to support us. We should take advantage of that and show our strength in all the seats.” He also stressed the need to focus on SC, ST, and women reserved seats. He added, “No one has the authority to give tickets in the municipal elections. We will take a decision as a team.”

Union Minister Bandi Sanjay said party ranks should stay ready whenever the municipal elections Telangana are announced. He said the fight would be between the BJP and the Congress. He alleged that the AIMIM was working with the Congress and BRS to defeat the BJP. He also warned that rival parties were planning to distribute money. He said candidates should be chosen after two surveys and must campaign door to door multiple times.

BJP state president N Ramachandra Rao accused the Congress government of corruption. He said, “The Congress government is committing corruption to the extent that it surpasses the BRS that was in power in the past.” He added that BJP would contest all seats and assure development wherever it wins.

Other leaders echoed similar views. They said winning municipal elections Telangana would help towns receive more central funds. BJP leaders asserted that the party would work collectively to strengthen its urban presence before future elections.
