Munugodu by-election was forcefully brought by BJP: Jagadish Reddy

Hyderabad, Oct.22 (NSS): Minister for Energy Jagadish Reddy said that people had not sought the Munugodu by-election which was forced to come by a person’s greediness who resigned the Congress and joined the BJP after obtaining a contract worth Rs.18,000 crore.

Addressing the Meet the press at the press club here on Saturday, Energy Minister Jagadish Reddy said the Bharatiya Janata Party was becoming weaken by the day and Prime Minister Narendra Modi ‘s charisma was going wane gradually. On the other hand, the newly announced Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) is receiving an overwhelming response among the people across the country. At this juncture, the BJP leaders feel that there will be a threat from KCR in the next Parliament election, he said.

” In a bid to hide its failures and confine KCR to Telangana State, the BJP is luring the elected leaders from other parties and is forcefully bringing the by-elections in the States. The Munugodu by-election has come as part of the conspiracy of the BJP leadership headed by Prime minister Narendra Modi, the Minister alleged.

Jagadish Reddy said the Telangana model of development is being debated across the country and officials from various States are thronging the State for witnessing the Telangana development.

The TRS government’s schemes have become popular across the country, including Narendra Modi’s State Gujarat. People in Gujarat also felt that they have been cheated by Modi with false promises. Similarly, people from neighbouring States Maharashtra and Karnataka seek the implementation of Telangana schemes in their respective areas and are demanding the merger of their area into Telangana if the schemes are not implemented, Jagadish Reddy said.

He said that Under the leadership of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, the flouride issue was resolved in Nalgonda district, including Munugodu Assembly constituency by supplying drinking water to all households under the Mission Bhagiratha scheme, saying that the BJP has no right to seek votes from the people.
