Musi River Flowing Violently Near Puranapul
Hyderabad, Aug 14 (Maxim News): As himayat Sagar became a full pond, 11 gates of the project were lifted and water was released downstream. Due to this, the Musi River flooded. The Musi River is flowing violently at Puranapul. As heavy flood water entered the Shiva temple there, the temple was completely submerged.
The Puranapul drainage area was also submerged. As flood water was flowing violently on the Jiyaguda bypass road, traffic from Puranapool to the Langar House was stopped. The police have made tight security arrangements at Puranapool.
Asifnagar mandal Revenue Officer S.Jyoti monitored the Puranapul area. Revenue officials said that arrangements are being made to shift the people of the Musi catchment areas to rehabilitation centers if the floodwaters increase further. (Maxim News)
