Muslim Leader’s Shocking Statement: ‘I Voted for BJP in Delhi Elections’
Hyderabad, Feb 6 (Maxim News): Maulana Sajid Rashidi, Chairman of the All India Imam Association, has made a surprising statement, saying he voted for the BJP in the Delhi Assembly elections—the first time he has ever done so.
In a video message, Rashidi said that if more Muslims start supporting the BJP, it will put pressure on so-called secular parties. He accused parties like Congress and the Samajwadi Party of using Muslims as a vote bank while claiming to be secular. He also said that instead of uniting people, these parties divide Hindus and Muslims. According to him, true secularism is about developing the country together, without discrimination.
Meanwhile, voting for the Delhi Assembly elections took place on February 5, 2025. Exit polls suggest that BJP is likely to win, while the ruling AAP is trailing behind. Congress is expected to perform poorly again.
A survey by People’s Pulse predicts that BJP may win 51 to 60 seats, while AAP could get only 10 to 19 seats. Other surveys, including Chanakya Strategy, Operation Chanakya, People Insight, and P Mark, also suggest a BJP majority. However, the KK survey indicates that AAP still has a chance of forming the government. (Maxim News)
