Muslim Wins Ganesh Laddu In Auction In Khammam

Khammam/Hyderabad, Sept 17 (Maxim News): In an exemplary display of religious harmony, a Muslim in Khammam city won Ganesh laddus in an auction on Monday.

It was said that the members of a Muslim family of Gandhi Nagar in the 33rd municipal division have been participating in the auction conducted during Devi Navaratri and Ganesh Navaratri celebrations for the last three years to promote Hindu-Muslim unity.

According to the organisers, two laddus were auctioned and a trader Shaik Latif won both the laddus in the auction for Rs. 20,016 and Rs. 11,016 besides winning a laddu in a lucky draw in his son Shaik Haneef Ayyan’s name.

Latif’s family members Shaik Feroze, Shaik Yakub, Jani, Bala Ganesh Utsav Committee organizer Manikanta. Shwetartha Ganesh Utsav Committee organiser Suguna and Sri Ganesh utsav Committee organiser Malishetty Venkateshwarlu were present.  (Maxim News)
