Nagam Asks CM If Irrigation Dept Not Corrupt
Hyderabad, April 13 (Maxim News): former minister Nagam Janardhan Reddy welcomed statement of Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao that he would end corruption in State. He, however, wanted to know from the Chief Minister, who repeatedly said the Revenue, Municipal Administration and Panchayati Raj departments have become hub for corruption, Nagam asked whether there was no corruption in the Irrigation Department.
The former minister also wanted to know from KCR whether he did not indulge in corruption and amassed thousands of crores of rupees in the name of redesigning the irrigation projects in the State. He also asked the CM whether any of the tenders invited by the State government was transparent.
He asked the State government as to why it was not taking steps to appoint a Lok Ayayukta in the State. Alleging that the officials of the Mining department were encouraging sand mafia in the State, the TPCC leader demanded that the Chief Minister order an inquiry on the corruption issue by a sitting judge.
