The Forensic Lab Fire in Nampally, Hyderabad, has triggered strong political reactions and an official investigation. BRS Working President KTR expressed suspicions over the fire incident at the Forensic Science Lab. He said it appeared to be an attempt to cover up voice recordings linked to the vote for note case and alleged false evidence created by the Congress government in the phone tapping case. KTR responded to the incident on Twitter X and raised questions over the timing and impact of the fire.

Meanwhile, BRS leader Manne Krishank also reacted on Twitter. He stated, “The entire lab will burn down..” He questioned Chief Minister Revanth Reddy over what evidence was destroyed in the fire. These reactions came soon after news of the fire spread, therefore adding a political dimension to the incident.

The Forensic Lab Fire broke out at the Forensic Science Lab in Nampally on Saturday morning. According to available details, the fire first started in the computer lab on the first floor. Within minutes, however, it spread to other areas of the building. The fire destroyed computers and other electronic equipment inside the lab. Thick black smoke filled the entire area, causing panic among staff members.

Office staff noticed the fire and ran out of the building in fear for their lives. Later, firefighters reached the spot after the fire was reported. They used five fire engines and managed to bring the fire under control. Officials initially suspected that a short circuit caused the accident. However, they continued to examine the situation as a precaution.

Meanwhile, senior police officers visited the site. North Zone DIG Shweta and Khairatabad Zone DCP Shilpavalli reached the Forensic Science Lab and reviewed the situation. Officials are investigating whether documents linked to key cases and forensic evidence suffered damage in the fire. Police confirmed that there was no loss of life. They also said the extent of property damage would be known after the fire was completely brought under control.
