Narayana Warns Of Threat To Revanth Reddy Over Congress Alliances
Hyderabad, Feb 9 (Maxim News) : CPI National Control Commission chairman Narayana on Sunday claimed that Chief Minister Revanth Reddy could face a threat to his position due to the actions of Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy.
He made these remarks while campaigning for CPI candidates in the Yedulapuram municipality limits of Khammam district.
Addressing the gathering, Narayana criticised the Congress party for rejecting national level alliances.
He said the party adopted a unilateral approach despite existing political understandings. According to him, such decisions weakened coordination and created internal and external challenges.
Narayana questioned the political consistency of Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy. He asked people to recall which party Ponguleti belonged to five years ago.
He said leaders who frequently change parties fail to gain lasting public recognition. He linked this issue directly to the political stability of the present government.

Continuing his remarks, Narayana said Khammam district has long remained a stronghold of communist parties. He described communists as being like mother’s milk, while comparing others to packaged milk. He said the present political contest reflected this contrast.
Narayana questioned the logic behind fears surrounding municipal election outcomes. He asked whether the Chief Minister would lose his post if CPI won the Kothagudem Corporation.
He alleged that the Congress leadership blocked alliances with political intent. He claimed this move aimed only to ensure Congress dominance across all municipalities.
He further alleged that political agreements were deliberately prevented. He said this was done with the intention of controlling urban local bodies rather than addressing public welfare.
According to him, such actions exposed political motives behind alliance decisions.
Narayana urged voters to support leaders who resolve public issues. He said people should vote for candidates who stand by their commitments.
He emphasised that public trust depends on consistent service and ideological clarity.
CPI national executive member Bagam Hemanth Rao and district secretary Dandi Suresh also attended the programme.
They expressed confidence in CPI candidates and appealed for public support in the municipal elections.
The campaign meeting concluded with calls for strengthening communist representation in urban local bodies.
Narayana reiterated that stable alliances and principled politics were essential for democratic governance. His remarks added a fresh dimension to the ongoing political debate in Telangana ahead of polling. (Maxim News)
