Navy Day, celebrated every year on December 4, honors a significant achievement during the 1971 Indo-Pak war. On this date, the Indian Navy launched a successful missile attack on Karachi Port. This operation played a crucial role in the Indian Armed Forces’ decisive victory, which contributed directly to the creation of the new nation, Bangladesh.

To mark the occasion, a 26-member Naval Band from the Eastern Naval Command, based in Visakhapatnam, will perform a one-hour musical programme. The concert will start at 6:00 PM and will feature a variety of multi-lingual melodies, including popular Telugu chartbusters. This mix reflects the Navy’s aim to connect with diverse audiences and promote cultural harmony through music.
