Neeraj Chopra Admitted to Hospital
Neeraj Chopra, an Olympic gold winner, was taken to a hospital in Panipat on August 17 after abandoning a welcome ceremony in his hometown halfway owing to a fever.
Neeraj, who made history by becoming independent India’s first Olympic gold medalist in Tokyo, has been keeping a hectic schedule since his return to the nation on Monday.
Chopra has been attending several award ceremonies in Delhi.
Finally, on Tuesday, he came home to his native Khandra village, near Panipat, to a resounding welcome from the villagers.
A large crowd gathered, and he rode in a cavalcade to the welcoming ceremony near his hamlet. However, he became tired and developed a mild temperature around halfway through the event.
As a result, he left the event and went to rest at home.
