NEET UG 2026 Exam Today Guidelines and Entry Rules

NEET UG 2026 | Hyderabad, May 3: NEET UG 2026 exam will be conducted across the country today with strict guidelines issued for candidates. The National Testing Agency has enforced tight rules to ensure fair and smooth conduct.

The exam will take place from 2 pm to 5.20 pm. However, entry gates will close at 1.30 pm without exception. Therefore, candidates must reach their centres well in advance as per the reporting time mentioned on the admit card.

Officials clearly stated that late entry will not be allowed under any circumstances. Hence, students must plan their travel carefully to avoid delays.

NEET UG 2026 exam guidelines for candidates

Candidates must carry a printed admit card with a passport size photograph affixed. In addition, they should bring an original valid ID such as Aadhaar card, PAN card, or voter ID for verification.

Moreover, students must carry an extra passport size photo for the attendance sheet. A 4×6 size colour photograph must also be pasted on the designated space in the admit card.

Regarding dress code, candidates should wear light coloured clothes with half sleeves. Clothes with large buttons or zippers are not allowed. Similarly, shoes are prohibited, and only slippers or sandals with low heels are permitted.

Furthermore, electronic devices such as mobile phones, smartwatches, and Bluetooth gadgets are strictly banned. Wallets, jewellery, and any kind of stationery items are also not allowed inside the exam hall. The testing agency will provide pens at the centre.

Students must read all instructions mentioned in the admit card carefully. Meanwhile, officials confirmed that candidates cannot leave the exam hall before the test ends.
