Hyderabad, Sept.14 (Maxim News): Telangana Information Technology and Communication Minister K Taraka Rama rao on Saturday alleged that neither the congress party nor the BJP Government gave a single penny for the establishment of ITIR project in the city.
He said that the project was announced by the UPA -2 Government days in the year 2013. He said that their pleas to NDA government to sanction funds for the project didn’t yield any result. He made it clear in the State Assembly that they raised the issue with the former union Minister Arun Jaitley and union minister Ravi Shankar Prasad and urged them to sanction funds for the same several times through letters. He said that despite no support from the central government, the state has registered huge amount of growth in IT sector. He said that as against the national growth rate of 9 percent, the Telangana state had registered a growth rate of 17 percent in IT exports.’
IT Cos in Old City, Other Places
State IT and industries minister KT Rama Rao on Saturday said that they were planning to open IT companies in old city of Hyderabad and other places like Maheswaram. He made these remarks while replying to a question raised AIMIM floor leader Akbaruddin Owaisi in the house.
The Minister said that concentration of the IT companies at one area in cities like Bengaluru had led to the destruction of the city. He said that they would take steps for avoiding problems like Bengaluru city, and set up the companies at different places of the city. He said that the IT startup companies would come up at Shamshabad, Maheswaram and airport area and Fab city. He said that they were now searching for suitable land in different places to set up the IT parks in the identified areas.(Maxim News)
