Nepalese Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba arrived here today on a five-day state visit, his first trip abroad after assuming the office in June.
On his arrival in the national Capital, he was received by External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj. During his visit, Mr Deuba will hold talks with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
His visit comes at a time when India and China are locked in a standoff on Doklam at the tri-junction with Bhutan near Sikkim, and Beijing is seeking closer integration with its neighbours, including Nepal.
