Nepali dacoity gang | Hyderabad, Dec 8 (Maxim News) : A Nepali dacoity gang involved in a violent robbery at a residence in Karkhana was arrested on Monday by the Commissioner’s Task Force North Zone team and Karkhana Police.
The action followed credible intelligence that led to the detention of five accused linked to the dacoity at the home of Capt D K Giri Retd at Gunrock Enclave.
The gang confined and assaulted the victim before fleeing with gold jewellery weighing about 23 tolas and cash worth ₹95000.
Police registered the case under Cr No 196/2025 at Karkhana Police Station. Officials stated that the arrests disrupted a coordinated network that operated across states.
Moreover, the gang members worked as watchmen or labourers in various localities to gain access to residential areas, diclosing this to media Gaikwad Vaibhav Raghunath, Deputy Commissioner of Police Task Force, Hyderabad City said.

The arrested accused were identified as Raj Bahadur Shahi, Mahendra Bahadur Shahi, Gorkhe Bhadhur Kamee, Amit Bisukarma and Subhash Tamata. All are natives of Nepal and were employed at different locations in Hyderabad and neighbouring states.
Police added that eight accomplices remain absconding. The absconding suspects include Rekha Devi Rai, Umesh Shahi, Upendra Shahi, Mahesh Sunar, Suresh Singh, Netra Shahi, Prem Singh and Birender Shahi.
Police seized gold ornaments weighing 73.35 grams, silver ornaments of 22.90 grams, a Rolex wristwatch, cash of ₹43050 and five mobile phones.
The total recovery was valued at almost ₹1000000. Officials said the gang executed the crime after posing as a domestic worker couple planted through an agency. They held a planning meeting at Tolichowki before the incident.
The gang entered the house during the night of November 15. They tied and assaulted the victim, searched the rooms and fled with valuables. Later they divided the property and switched off their phones.
Investigation teams traced their movements and arrested the five accused. The operation was supervised by senior officers from the Task Force and North Zone.
Police said efforts are underway to trace the absconding suspects. They added that coordination with neighbouring states has been strengthened to prevent similar offences.
Authorities advised citizens to verify domestic staff through authorised agencies. (Maxim News)
