Bank of Baroda theft case | A new twist has emerged in the cash theft case of Vanasthalipuram based branch of Bank of Baroda.

The cashier of the bank Praveen, who was facing the allegations of steeling ₹22.53 lakh of the bank, has released a video and denied the allegations made by the manager of the bank and other staff.

The cashier alleged that the manager and other staff members had stolen the money from the safety locker of the bank and making him a scapegoat in the entire issue.

He also alleged that the bank manager did not take any action against his complaint over the presence of deficit cash for the last two months. He made it clear that the manager was responsible for the entire incident.

He also said he left the bank on Tuesday afternoon after experiencing stomach pain. He said the truth would come to light if the video footage of CC cameras of the bank was seen by the police . Praveen released the video after the bank manager lodged a complaint against him with Vanasthalipuram police on Tuesday alleging that Praveen had stolen ₹22.53 lakh and escaped from the bank.

The police registered a case and started investigation. They interrogated the mother of Praveen and found that the cashier had sent a message to his mother stating that he had lost a lot of money in an online cricket betting. They also found that Praveen switched off his phone after sending the message to his mother. The police have launched manhunt for Praveen.
