New Year 2026 Celebrations | Hyderabad, Jan 1 (Maxim News): New Year 2026 celebrations were marked by large gatherings at major temples across the Telugu states, as devotees welcomed the year with prayers, rituals, and special offerings.
From the early hours, prominent pilgrimage centres witnessed heavy footfall. Tirumala, Vijayawada Kanaka Durga Temple, Vemulawada Rajanna shrine, and Yadadri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple reported continuous inflow of devotees.
Many performed ritual baths before offering prayers, seeking prosperity, health, and peace for the year ahead.
Meanwhile, temple authorities arranged special queue systems, additional staff, and streamlined prasadam distribution to manage the crowds efficiently.
Officials stated that the arrangements ensured smooth darshan despite the surge. Therefore, no major disruptions were reported at key temples during the New Year 2026 celebrations.
New Year 2026 celebrations create spiritual atmosphere in Hyderabad
Meanwhile, Hyderabad witnessed a strong spiritual atmosphere as thousands visited major temples across the city. Birla Mandir, Chilkur Balaji Temple, Film Nagar Temple, Jubilee Hills and Himayatnagar TTD temples, Ujjaini Mahankali Temple in Secunderabad, and Balkampet Yellamma Temple recorded heavy attendance.
In addition, Vinayaka and Anjaneya temples at major traffic junctions saw steady streams of devotees. From morning onwards, city roads leading to temples remained busy, as families gathered to begin the year with worship.
Special pujas and archana rituals were conducted throughout the day, adding to the festive yet orderly environment.
Authorities coordinated with police and civic departments to regulate traffic and crowd movement. As a result, temple visits remained peaceful across the city.
