Hyderabad, Jan 1 (Maxim News): Chief Minister of Telangana K Chandrasekhar Rao, his Cabinet colleagues, Chairman of the TS Legislative Council Swamy Goud, and AP Legislative Council Chakrapani, Chief Secretary-designate of Telangana SP Singh, DGP Anurag Sharma and several other senior IAS and IPS officers greeted the Governor of the two Telugu States, ESL Narasimhan, at the Raj Bhavan here on Sunday on the occasion of the new year.
As is the practice established by him, the Governor and the Lady Governor were available to the public this year too at the Darbar Hal of the Raj Bhavan. Narasimhan is the first Governor to set the practice to open the gates of the Raj Bhavan to the common public to extend new-year greetings to him.
Hundreds of people from all walks of life, including women, the children and the school students profusely greeted the Governor at the Darbar Hall. The Governor and the Lady Governor gave a warm welcome to all those who visited the Raj Bhavan to extend their greetings to the Governor couple.
Later, addressing the visitors at the Darbar Hall, the Governor said, “as the year 2017 has dawned, my greetings and good wishes to the people of both the states of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. May this 2017 bring joy, peace, prosperity and good health in everyone’s lives,” the Governor said. (Maxim News)
