New year: Ensure Zero death in drunken, rash & negligent driving – Mahesh Bhagwat

Hyderabad, Dec 26 (Maxim News): Commissioner of Police Rachakonda Mahesh Bhagwat, Jt CP Sasidhar Reddy conducted meeting with Star Hotel, Bars & Restaurant, Resort, club management sensitizing them on Preventive measures to be taken on 31st December new year night to ensure Zero death in drunken, rash & negligent driving.

Mahesh Bhagwat has asked them to ensure that private drivers are engaged in dropping the people safely or designated drivers for that day should be identified who can safely take his friends, family back to him after new year celebration.

Flyovers will be closed from 11pm 31st Dec to 5 am of 1st January 2017. ORR stretch also will be prohibited except for people going to or coming back from Airport.

Police check post on drunken driving will be at strategic locations & those indulging in drunken driving will be prosecuted.

No rave parties, strip dances, DJ allowed and sound levels to be maintained in permissible limits.

Resort owners should strictly prevent immoral activities. No person with fire arms should be allowed to any Bars, Restaurant, club, resorts and other places of entertainment. No gambling is permitted at any place, Mahesh Bhagwat added. (Maxim News)
