Nigerian held in Old city with MDMA

Hyderabad, Aug.12 (Maxim News): Sleuths of city Narcotic Enforcement Wing, along with Narayanguda police, apprehended a foreign national drug peddler, who was found in illegal possession of narcotic drug MDMA at Niyaz Khana near King Koti Hospital under Narayanguda police limits. The cops seized 30 gram MDMA, four cell phones, cash of Rs 4000, two notes one dollar denomination currency of Cayman Islands and one Riyal denomination currency of Qatar at the instance of the accused.

The drug peddler was identified as Osigwe Chukwuemeka James alias Alamanjo Nmasichukwu, 37 years, a Nigerian with two Passports. The accused was residing illegally in Hyderabad. It was found he frequently visited Goa and smuggled MDMA to Hyderabad. Some 108 drug consumers, who are purchasing drug from the accused were identified. He was arrested in March this year by Goa police under NDPS Act.

The City Police appealed to the youth/students not to fall prey to drugs and requested their parents to keep a watch on the activities of their children and feel free to approach police or pass information to Police on Phone No. 9490616688to curtail such anti-social activities and strive for Drug free city.

The accused was arrested under the supervision of M. Rajesh Chandra, IPS, Dy. Commissioner of Police, Central Zone and Sneha Mehra, IPS, incharge Addl. Dy. Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad-Narcotic Enforcement Wing (H-NEW), Hyderabad City by P. Ramesh Reddy, Inspector, H-NEW, C. Venkat Ramulu, SI, H-NEW and H-NEW staff along with R. Srinivas Reddy, Inspector, Narayanguda PS and staff. (Maxim News)
