Hyderabad, Aug.23 (Maxim News): TPCC senior vice-president G. Niranjan today strongly condemned the provocative comments of BJP MLA Raja Singh against Prophet Mohammed.
Speaking to mediapersons at Gandhi Bhavan, Niranjan said no one should tolerate his comments and the government should take stern action against him. He also said the Assembly should be convened immediately for impeachment of Raja Singh, whose comments will affect the prevailing cordial atmosphere in the twin cities, which are getting ready to celebrate Sri Ganesh festival from this month end.
The TPCC leader said the person, who hates other religions cannot be a Hindu as nowhere in Vedas or Bhavadgita preached to hate other religions. “In fact, people like Raja Singh are anti-Hindu as they do not know or follow the essence of Hinduism. There should not be place for controversial comedy shows in a country like us in which people of different Faiths live together. Is it necessary to have comedy show of Munawar Ali amidst tension and bandobust with hundreds of police men? A few years back, a duet song was attempted to use in a picture of Ramoji Rao using the sloka Shuklambharadharam Vishnum Shashivarnam chathrbhujam, but objections were raised by us and song was deleted from the picture.
