Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Thursday met Prime Minister Narendra Modi and discussed the present economic situation after the extension of lockdown till May 3.
It is learnt that a decision was taken to announce a relief package for migrant labourers, who are facing difficulties with the closure of small and medium businesses due to lockdown.
The meeting also focused on taking a series of measures to bring back the economy on track. The Centre may announce a relief package to the MSME sector too.
