Nitish Kumar Strongly Objected To The Name Of Opposition Alliance “INDIA’

Bangalore/Hyderabad, July 19 (Maxim News): The united opposition parties have named their alliance “INDIA” to oust the NDA government in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

However, Bihar Chief Minister and JDU Chief, Nitish Kumar has expressed strong objection to this name. It is known that 26 opposition parties attended the meetings held in Bangalore on Monday and Tuesday.

According to National media quoting reliable sources, Congress did not hold discussions with the partners before giving the name India to the opposition coalition. Nitish Kumar was shocked when his name was revealed. He asked the leaders of Congress, TMC, and other parties in what way the name “INDIA‘ can be given to an alliance.

On the other hand, while Nitish Kumar worked hard to bring the opposition to a platform, the JDU and RJD leaders are expressing their grief that the Congress has hijacked the result of his hard work.

It is known that 26 parties formed INDIA on Monday and Tuesday with the aim of defeating the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. The name was given the tagline “Jeetega Bharat” It is known that the first meeting of the opposition led by Nitish Kumar was held in Patna last month. According to National Media reports, Rahul Gandhi and Mamata Banerjee suggested the name INDIA for the opposition alliance.

Speaking on this occasion, Nitish Kumar asked how the name India will be given to the alliance of opposition parties. He objected to this name. It says that it contains the letters NDA and both the names look the same. Then another leader told him that there is an “I” in NDA. Nitish suggested naming the opposition alliance as India Main Front or India Main Alliance. Leaders of Left parties also objected to the name INDIA. it was suggested to name it as “Save India Alliance” or “We for India”. In this background, Nitish silently agreed on the name of INDIA, he said, ‘If you’re all right, that’s fine.’

There was also discussion among the leaders on saying that the letter “De” in the name INDIA stands for Democracy. Some leaders pointed out that even the letter ‘D’ in the ruling alliance NDA has been interpreted as democracy. The Congress suggested that the letter “De” in the name of INDIA should be changed to “Developmental” instead of ‘Democracy’, if so, INDIA and NDA will look different,

VCK party chief Thol Thirumavalavan said that Mamata Banerjee suggested the name INDIA. According to details given by NCP leader Jitendra Awad, this name was suggested by Rahul Gandhi. Everyone appreciated his creativity. All parties agreed to this. Although the name was suggested by Rahul Gandhi, it was decided to be formally proposed by Mamata Banerjee. After the meeting, Mamata addressed the media and said, “Our dear Rahul Gandhi.”

Meanwhile . with the BJP criticizing the name INDIA, the opposition alliance slapped a tagline on the name. Adding INDIA, the tagline was Jeetega Bharat (India wins). Former Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray seems to have suggested the name should have a Hindi tagline.
